Portrait of a Model : HANNAH COLLARD

Posted By Nico / February, 28, 2014 / 0 comments

Meet Hannah Collard,  Indigenous Australian / Norwegian model based in Perth Western Australia for Chadwicks Modelling Agency. Would you believe that I have had the privilege of photographing her since the age of 13? Over the years I have helped to assist and support her entry into the modelling world. She is my sister after all! So yes, I am bias!

Drum Magazine USA : DEEP PURPLE

Deep Purple played Perth Arena last night and I had the absolute pleasure of assisting Jordan Shields on a photoshoot of Ian Paice for Drum Magazine USA.

Meeting Deep Purple at the Perth Arena during their warm-up and then shooting the gig was an absolute thrill. After the usual 3 photo limit at the beginning of the evening we were able to watch the show from side of stage. They absolutely nailed it!

Outback of Karratha this July I had the honourable experience to be a part of Ree and Sohei’s traditional Japanese wedding in an Australian setting.

The wedding took place in the historical town of Cossack, Western Australia, just out of Karratha. Ree  and her family are from Karratha, Sohei and his family are from Japan.

MUSIC VIDEO: Mathas – White Sugar

Posted By Nico / September, 30, 2011 / 0 comments

Our first music video, ‘White Sugar’ by Mathas, aired for the first time on national  ABC’s RAGE!

“White Sugar is a little study of personal flaws, habitual behavior and the extreme consumption of heavily refined and processed foods in the western world.

The White Sugar filmclip is a swirling journey through a vicious candyland, were ripe raspberries and chico babies go for the throat and the product advertising of yesteryear repeats in a droning, endless loop. The only way forward is towards total zombification and a posse of buzzword angels on your shoulder lulling you to a lolly-encrusted catatonia.”

XPRESS MAGAZINE : UNKLE

Posted By Nico / March, 11, 2011 / 0 comments

All the way from the UK, James Lavelle and his “band” UNKLE  played live in a little ol’ place called The Bakery Artrage Complex in Perth, Western Australia.

Introducing an interestingly artistic exploration of the UNKLE soundscape than I previously knew, it was wrong of me to expect the trip hop and dark beats of an UNKLE past, the likes of Psyence Fiction.

Instead, the fourth album “Where Did the Night Fall” from the newest reincarnation of the outfit brings us a moody combination of loud psychedelic rock, live guitars and James Lavelle on the synth with vocals by both Gavin Clark and Joel Bradbury on this live national circuit of Australia.

Songs featured: The Storm, Burn my Shadow, Ablivion, Eye for an Eye.

Encore: Heaven, Lonely Soul, The Time Has Come.
